MOTIONLESS IN WHITE | BRAND OF SACRIFICE | FIT FOR A KING @ O2 ACADEMY BRIXTON, LONDON | 22th FEB 2025

Updated: Feb 26

First up was Brand of Sacrifice, who came out swinging last night, and honestly, I’m still trying to recover. Sporting their classic Pokémon-themed intro and hitting us with a heavy start. Breakdowns heavier than my existential dread, and front man Kyle sounding like he’s fronting a demonic army. Pits erupted instantly, and I swear, some people were throwing hands like they owed each other money. But beyond the sheer brutality, it was so good catching up with my friends in the band. Seeing them tear it up at Brixton felt like a whole new level. Love to see it. Special mention to the drummer— Chason West! The dude’s a machine. The energy he brought to every hit was next level.

If you’ve never seen BoS live, fix that immediately. Just maybe stretch first—you’re gonna need it.

9/10 – Felt like getting clotheslined by sound. Would do it again!

Next up was Fit For a King—These guys from Tyler, Texas, brought all the energy you’d expect, hitting every track with precision and power. Their live set is a straight-up reflection of their studio sound—solid and heavy, exactly what you hear on the record.

7/10 – No surprises, but if you’re a fan of their tracks, you’ll love hearing them live in their purest form.

And then, the main event. Motionless in White took the stage and, in true MIW fashion, made it very clear that they were here to put on a show. No easing in gently—after the absolute chaos of the support acts, the crowd was already battered, bruised, and running on fumes, but somehow still had the energy to go absolutely feral for Chris & co.

Visually? Stunning. Pyro, gothic grandeur, and a stage setup that looked like it was designed by the Ghost of Hot Topic Past. And let’s not forget the Cherry Bomb dancers, who brought an extra level of sultry energy to the whole thing—think fire, fierce moves, and wickedness that fit the dark vibe perfectly.

Musically? Chris Cerulli’s voice is an absolute weapon, shifting effortlessly between demonic screams and eerie, melodic cleans that hit way too hard live. At one point, I swear he switched from growling to crooning so smoothly I thought I had whiplash.

The setlist was stacked with everything you’d want—breakdowns so heavy, I thought my bones were gonna leave my body, anthemic singalongs that had the entire venue screaming like we were in a cult, and enough theatrical energy to make Broadway nervous. If you weren’t throwing down in the pit, you were belting out lyrics like your life depended on it.

9/10 – A goth-metal fever dream in the best possible way.

Thank you to Chucky + Advocate Touring | @cosanostra for hooking us up with this event 🙏🏻
